2200 DeskLaser Color Management
|

| The printer
driver for the magicolor 2200 DeskLaser has the following color options
in the "Image" tab (File-Print-Properties-Image): |

| Disabled |
| Printing with "Disabled"
will disable color management on the driver side. This option is useful
for those using host color management, where the application takes
care of color management and the data sent to the printer is already
color managed. A host profile, DL2200RGB.icm is available for "ICC
Aware" applications which are capable of doing host color management
within the application. Settings in the "Color Management"
tab of the printer Properties have no effect when color management
is disabled. |

| Window's
Matching |
| If no profile is associated with the
magicolor 2200 DeskLaser printer (in the Color Management tab of printer
Properties), the results of printing using this option are unpredictable
(Windows will select the wrong profile and the colors will not be
correct). However, this option can yield desirable results by associating
the host profile (DL2200RGB.icm) and setting it as default in the
Color Management tab. Whether Automatic or Manual is selected does
not matter as long as the DL2200RGB.icm profile is set as default. |

Matching |
| This option yields desirable results
if no profile is associated in the Color Management tab. In the case
that a profile has been associated and set as default in the Color
Management tab, the results of printing with this option will be unpredictable
(Double color management will be taking place). |
| The best results
will be achieved by using one of the following two options: |
| - The DL2200RGB.icm profile associated
with the magicolor 2200 DeskLaser printer and set as default in the
"Color Management" tab, Window's Matching selected in the
"Image" tab |
- The DL2200RGB.icm profile
not associated and no default profile set in the "Color Management"
tab, Driver's matching selected in the "Image" tab
Both these options will yield slightly different results and the customer
should experiment with both to determine which they find more pleasing. |
