Configuring Adobe Photoshop to use Color Rendering Dictionaries (CRDs)

Overview
For those who rely on the PostScript page description language for CIE-based color space matching, the KONICA MINOLTA magicolor printers have three built-in Color Rendering Dictionaries (CRDs) - Business, Colorimetric, and Photographic, to produce printer-calibrated images. To use CRDs for color matching, Adobe Photoshop must be configured correctly.
 
Instructions
1. Open the Print dialog box in Adobe Photoshop by selecting Print from the File menu.
2. Adobe Photoshop 5.0 and 5.5 - The "PostScript Color Management" Box must be checked-off to use CRD Color Matching.
Windows:
Macintosh:
Adobe Photoshop 6.0 - The Print Space Profile must be set to "PostScript Color Management" to use CRD Color Matching.

3. Configure the KONICA MINOLTA Driver to use Color Rendering Dictionaries and set the desired settings in the Color Tab of the driver.
Note: When printing from the Adobe applications from Windows, the rendering intent for the CRD will be set to the Job Default setting in the “Configure CRD Color Matching” window of the driver. The individual settings for Image, Text, and/or Graphics will be ignored.
