| Overview
|
| At the highest resolution setting, the magicolor
2350 contains halftones for graphics and for images. When printing
certain files from Illustrator 9 or 10 to the magicolor 2350 in the
highest resolution setting, the file may print incorrectly, showing
blocks of density that is different than the remaining areas (see
illustration below). |

| In this example, although the background color
is supposed to be a solid area of the same shade, one can see blocks
of lighter shade in certain areas of the printed file. The following
exaggerates the problem area in printed artwork: |

| This problem seems to only occur with these two
versions of Illustrator and only with certain files. The following
instructions describe the MQI workaround for the problem. |

Accept the defaults
in the Compression tab.

Select the magicolor 2350 printer with the resolution set to High

will occur. |

As Image option is located in the Adobe Acrobat 4.0/5.0 tab
